Return PolicyYou may return a product for refund within 30 days of the date of purchase. Items may only be returned in their original packaging with all accompanying accessories, documents, software and manuals. A restocking fee of up to 25% may be charged for all unopened goods unless prior arrangements have been made. All open items are subject to inspection and additional repair fees may be charged for damaged, missing or unserviceable goods. Electronic devices such as motors, circuit boards valves sensors cannot be returned.
Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, Assembléon operates a return before shipment policy on parts identified by Assembléon as repairable. Refurbished items are those products which can be regarded as “new products” from the perspective of functionality. Repaired items are products where only the failing elements have been replaced. For these items, average expected life time is considered to be less and, consequently, they can only be guaranteed on a limited basis.
Part CategoriesAssembléon will distinguish between and categorize “Parts” as: Service parts, Accessories & Options, Service Tooling or Consumable parts.
Service Parts:
- Pre-defined system part that is durable and may be subject to natural wear or natural contamination during normal operation within the technical life time of a system
- Never replaced on preventive basis (is replaced by a new part)
- May have repair value – if so, may also be offered as “repaired”, or “refurbished” service part
- In general, structural life time expectancy of at least 2 years
- No predictability of life time for individual service part
- Additional criteria for identifying service parts is price, exchange time and part dimensions
- E.g. any items which are NOT Accessories & Options, Service Tooling or Consumables
Accessories & Options:
- Items developed to enhance flexibility, functionality, capacity, ease of use or performance of a system beyond system specification
- Typically available with system order
- Also typically available after system acceptance as a field upgrade
- May or may not be uniquely serialized
- Can be retrofitted in the field
- May be cross-functionally used on systems of the same model type
- E.g. Feeders, trolleys, component sequencers, PPU’s, CLMs, PHS units
Service Tooling:
- Tooling sold which is used to install, calibrate, diagnose, maintain, and/or repair a system
- Once acquired by Buyer, Assembléon is not responsible for proper calibration and/or certification
- Tooling is used in conjunction with Assembléon equipment, trolley, feeders etc.
- E.g. Feeder repair tools, Glass plate calibration kit, Placement head analysis & repair tools
Consumable Parts:
- Pre-defined part which is subject to normal wear or contamination during normal operation within the technical lifetime of system
- Replacement on a preventive basis during preventive maintenance
- Some predictability of failure or normal wear or contamination
- No repair value, cannot be offered in repair of refurbished fashion
- Typical limited life time expectancy of one year or less
- Expected life time specification is expressed in a period of time, number of usage hours and/or number of placements
- E.g. Filters, belts, light bulbs, nozzles

Parts Warranty Assembléon warrants that the products delivered shall conform to written Assembléon specifications. These products shall be free from defects which arise solely from faulty materials or workmanship for the period stated below, or as otherwise agreed in writing, or for such a longer term as stipulated by any mandatory provision of applicable law if properly used under normal operating conditions.
